Dawn watched Faith as she walked down the aisle, the black trench she wore billowing about her like a dark cloud of ominous power. The woman radiated power, strength, confidence, and sexuality everywhere she went. Dawn watched other customers gawking at the rogue Slayer and burst out laughing when one woman, in her rush to get out of Faith's way, rammed her shopping cart into a pole.

Faith continued without even one sign on her face that she had seen the woman and only paused when she reached Dawn's side. "Like what you see, Dawnie?" she teased, having felt every one's eyes upon her for some time but having been only surprised by the young girl's intent interest.

"Very much," Dawn admitted with an enthusiastic grin and nod. "I wish I could walk like you, Faith!"

The older woman shrugged. "Keep watching. You might pick up a thing or two." She sashayed pass her, grinning devilishly. She'd love to see Buffy's face if she could see her little sister now! She was certain the do-gooder Slayer would have a great deal to say about Dawn's admiration, and Faith would love the chance to hear her and shoot her down laughing!

Gossip followed her everywhere she went. She was the Slayer's little sister. That came with its own reputation and whispered secrets. Also, like Buffy before her, the Supernatural seemed determined to keep Dawnie from being able to lead any kind of worthwhile social life, leaving those who could get no juice on her to create their own.

There wasn't a day Dawn didn't hear some kind of new -- and always stupid -- guess at why she didn't show up at a dance or some other school function. Some were tame enough that she could ignore them without a second's thought. Others, however, fueled her growing fury with the idiots her family and friends spent every night of their lives protecting. She'd heard every wild tale imaginable, from the theory that she spent her free time conjuring Demons to the crazy notion that she'd been knocked up by some guy at whom she'd never looked twice.

And why should she look at him? The cheerleaders thought he was something special, but to Dawn, he was just another dumb jock. That thought was still burning her when Faith picked her up. Dawn looked the wild woman up and down, wishing she could be more like her and knowing that cool people like her were what kept her from looking twice at buffoons like Dillon. Dawn grinned, deciding she was going to give this school something real to talk about, and smacked her mouth against Faith's in a quick kiss before all the school.

"Hey, Buffy, can I borrow your hair dryer?"

"Dawn, what's wrong with you?!" Buffy screeched, jumping before her little sister. "I told you Faith was coming by, but you still come out here half naked!"

Faith's dark eyes roamed the young, voluptuous body barely clothed in a semisheer slip of a nightgown. Dawn's long, wet hair hung down her slender back, and her eyes shyly met Faith's questing gaze. Faith grinned broadly at Dawn's light blush. She looked like an innocent lamb, the very kind Faith loved to corrupt and ride into the ground in a wild, sexual adventure to which even their fantasies would never live up.

"It's okay, D." Faith winked at her. "I do virgin boy toys, not virgin chicks. I'll let myself out. Catch ya on the flip side, B." Buffy would do her best to kill her if she said or did anything less.

"You don't have to go." Dawn pouted, but Faith turned her back to her.

"Slaying's calling me." She walked out into the night, as determined to forget Summers' lithe, willing body as Dawn was to make her look.

"I forgot."

"Uh uh."

Dawn grinned. She'd never tell Buffy how she truly wanted Faith!
