Thank you for the kind comments, and yeah, I know all too well how cruel people can be. It's why I turned away from Christianity the first time and probably I will again soon. I'm kind of lost when it comes to religion now -- See my personal post from a little while earlier today, and you'll understand.
I was Goth. I was Pagan for many years. Both Drew and I come from a long line of Witches. And to be quite frank, if I could get a God to show up, tell me He or She would actually take care of my family, and DO so, I don't really care who They were. I'd still worship Them.
And as a matter of fact, The Other Side of Christanity steamed from a conversation I had at a Wicnic (Wiccan Picnic) with a Goth girl who had had her hair set on fire by a cheerleader in a public school supposedly trying to burn the Devil out of her and who got expelled because her evil ways tempted the other girl to set her hair on fire! Stupid much? And to think I was foolish enough to fall back in with such people!
Also, whereas I've never gone to a Catholic school (Drew did), we've lived in the Bible belt for years.
