Every time he starts to get sad, as soon as he can, he pulls out his sketchbook. It's a little, old book, its pages long yellowed from the ages, but it never fails to make him smile for in those old pages are the smiling faces of every one he's ever loved and reminders of happy memory he's ever had. He can't find his smile today, though, even as he sees Katya, his little Snowflake, family and friends from back in Russia, and his friends from when he first joined the X-Men. He hangs his head with a resigned sigh as he shuts the book.
Neena's arms drape his shoulders. He knows she means well as she kisses him, but she's the wrong woman, and he never forgets it deep in his heart. He sighs again, thinking of better days, the days portrayed in the pictures he sketched in that little book, and fearing they'll never come again, she'll never come to him again. Still, he hides his fear in the kisses he returns though he knows he does wrong. He buries himself in Domino and tries to forget the happiness of the past that'll never come to him again.
