Dream Team

The following is a dream team crossover idea, and idea ONLY, created for a challenge for [livejournal.com profile] gameofcards. If you join, be sure to tell them Kat Lee of Team Hearts sent you!

Ace Ventura (Ace Ventura: Pet Detective)
Catwoman (DC Comics/Batman the Animated Series)
Kathleen "Kat" O'Hara (Original Character)
Pinkie Pie (My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic)
Salem Saberhagen (Sabrina the Teenage Witch)

Catwoman has left Gotham City on the trail of disappearing felines. It's mainly street cats who are disappearing, so few people have noticed but there are ever more cats vanishing at a rate that alarms the cat lover.

Although little notice has been given thus far to the disappearing cats, there are two others on the case, each working separately. Pet Detectives Ace Ventura and Kathleen "Kat" O'Hara have had a few run-ins before, and whereas Ace likes the woman, she has little more use for him than she does for the rest of humanity, preferring to toss a fireball at a person rather than talk to them. Can Kat put her hatred for humanity aside long enough to work with the other crime solvers, or will Ace and Catwoman both get toasty toes?

While the humans are working the case, more animals are disappearing. It's not just the cats now. Pets and street animals alike are vanishing, and there's no particular choice of species. Rare animals are disappearing as well as ordinary tabbies and mutts. Even ponies from another dimension are being taken, but one manages to slip away.

Pinkie Pie is running through a strange world when she meets Catwoman and the Detectives. She's the only animal to have escaped the mysterious kidnapper thus far, but with no memories of being taken from Ponyville or of what's happened to her friends, can the humans calm the high-spirited pony down long enough to gain any possible clues she may be able to give them, and what's happening to her friends and the other animals in the meanwhile?

Pinkie's not the only animal to have escaped, however. There is one other, but he's determined to keep a low profile. Without magic to protect him in the wide and dangerous world, and with no way to reach the Spellmans, Salem knows he's in deep trouble. When he encounters a man who can talk to animals and isn't freaked by his use of the English language, he may have found the one guy who can help him, and he, in turn, just may be able to lead the would-be rescuers to the rest of the kidnapped animal world.
