"I do wish you girls would let me set you up."
"We're fine, Granny, really."
"You're both far too pretty to be alone on Valentine's Day."
"Granny -- "
"Now, Red, whining does not befit you in this form or your other."
Spotting her friend's glowering eyes beginning to turn red, Snow stepped between grandmother and granddaughter, wrapped an arm around the older woman's shoulders, and ushered her toward the door. "We'll be fine, really," she assured her, reaching the door just as a knock came.
"Granny, you're expecting company?" Red asked, breaking temporarily free of her anger.
"What?" Her grandmother smiled teasingly at her. "You thought I was going out on the town alone tonight? Perish the thought! I may be old, Red, but I still know how to get a date!"
Red joined them as her grandmother opened the door. The girls watched, side by side, as Granny stepped out of their little cottage to take the hand of no other than a Knight upon a fine, dark steed. The elder woman was careful not to let her surprise show but also made a mental note to thank her friend in the neighboring kingdom for her good sense in men.
"Milady." The Knight bent low and kissed her hand before pulling her up to sit with him. "What of your fine maiden friends here?" he asked. "Are we to leave them be?"
"Yes. Leave them to their own pursuits. They claim they'll be fine."
"We will be," Red started to say, but the horse's whinny broke off her sentence. She and Snow watched as the Knight rode off with her grandmother into the sunset. "Was that . . . ?" Red whispered, still shocked.
"A Knight of King Arthur's round table?" Snow nodded, just as surprised as her friend. "I believe it was Sir Galahad."
Red grinned. "I didn't know the old woman had it in her!"
"I think there's a lot your grandmother has in her that we don't know about!"
"Let's hope she keeps it in her," Red muttered, pulling Snow back inside and shutting the door behind them.

Phoebe looks up as wind fills the attic and thunder roars. At least, she thinks it's thunder. She isn't too sure of what's happening until a fireball blazes straight at her. She ducks, hitting the floor and shielding her family's Book of Shadows beneath her body. "Great," she mutters. "I try to conjure a date for Valentine's Day, and this is what I get!" She hopes she can deal with this one without calling her sisters; she'll never hear the end of it from Prue if she has to get help for another mess she caused, even if it was inadvertently.
The smoke from the fire and the transport spell clears. A woman, dressed in all black, stands in the center of the attic, looking around her with a silent snarl. Her eyes fall finally upon Phoebe, who thinks, at first, that she's never seen any one with such dark and lovely eyes and then immediately wishes she hadn't thought that.
"Where am I?" the woman snarls.
"Y-You can c-calm down," Phoebe tries to tell her. "You're safe with here."
"I may be safe, but you are not," the Sorceress snaps, and Phoebe gulps as she sees another fireball beginning to form in her gloved hand.
"Please calm down," she says. "I honestly didn't mean any harm. It's -- It's Valentine's Day, and I -- I guess I was a little lonely."
"You summoned the Queen of Darkness, little girl, because you were lonely on a holiday?"
"Not . . . Not just any holiday. It's a holiday meant for love."
"Love is weakness."
"It doesn't have to be."
"Oh, but it is. You're better off without any man, but I do sense something in you." Her royal head cocks to one side as the Queen studies the young Witch. "You have a certain . . . power about you."
"Oh, boy," Phoebe mutters. Quickly, she blows powder at the Queen and speaks her previous words backwards. She ducks two more fireballs as the Queen is sucked back in time. Finally, alone in the attic, Phoebe breathes shallowly, relieved. "That was close." She grins then, remembering. "She was hot, though." Maybe if she conjured her from another time, she wouldn't be quite as angry?
Phoebe sits up, grabbing the Book of Shadows as she moves, but Prue and Piper run into the attic just then. "Phoebe," Prue demands, "what have you been doing?"
"Nothing."
"It's never nothing when fireballs scorch the wall." Prue telekinetically rips the Book from her sister's hold and takes it to her. She wraps her arms securely around the spellbook, then looks pointedly at Phoebe and something behind her. The youngest Halliwell, sees the marks in the wall and where part of it was actually blown out, and sighs, "Okay. So the spell backfired. But it wasn't like I was conjuring a date for Valentine's Day!"
"Uh huh."
"Phoebe!"
"We don't need men to celebrate any way."
"You know, somebody else said that to me," Phoebe comments with a cautious smile.
"She was right," Prue acknowledges. "What better love to celebrate than family?"
One by one, the sisters smile. "Girls' night out?" Phoebe suggests.
"As long as I don't have to cook," agrees Piper.
Prue nods, then adds, "But you are so cleaning this mess up when we get home, young lady."
Knowing sometimes it's better not to argue with an older, or more powerful, Witch, especially one who happens to be her sister, Phoebe just smiles and agrees. Hopefully, there will be no men, Demons, or other powerful and wickedly angry Sorceresses to interfere with their time together. A girls' night out may well be just what they need. They head out together for a Valentine's Day celebration to be remembered.

She knows her date the moment she enters the cavern and cringes inside. She almost turns around and walks back out when she sees him flipping his golden blonde hair and looking at his own smiling reflection in a mirror inlaid with silver and jewels. She would leave, too, if her path wasn't blocked by her Dwarf friends. "Out of my way," Snow grinds out between clenched teeth.
"Come on, sister," Grumpy coaxes, coming straight up to her. "Give him a chance. You haven't even met him yet."
"I don't need to meet him to know he isn't my type."
"You need to forget about that other Prince. Maybe he can help you with that."
"Look at him, Grumpy!" Snow waves a hand at the Prince sitting at the bar but is dismayed when he catches sight of her motion from around his mirror.
He lowers the mirror and grins at her. His broad, white teeth practically sparkle. "You must be the lucky Princess who gets to have me as her Valentine's Day date!"
"You are not doing this to me," Snow growls at Grumpy, who all but shoves her forward.
"It's just for a few hours," he mutters. "I'm sorry, sister. Sneezy owed a friend who owed a friend who owed his mother a favor."
"And I'm just supposed to -- "
Snow has resumed complaining, her hand waving in the air to emphasize her words, when the Prince grabs her hand. He draws her up to him, and Snow has to resist the urge to go for her bo and arrow as she finds herself almost straddling his legs. He grins broadly at her and kisses her hand. "You're beautiful," he remarks. She's just beginning to think that maybe this date won't be all bad when the Prince continues, "Of course, you're not as beautiful as I am, but then there's only one Prince Charming."
He flashes her a grin, flexes his biceps, and is startled when she crashes his mirror down on top of his head. Snow shoves it down over his blonde hair as hard as she can. "One," she hisses ferociously, "there's a much better Prince Charming out there than you ever will be, blondie, and two, don't flatter yourself. Nobody's desperate enough to put up with your crap, even on Valentine's Day."
She whirls around, and the glowering glare she shoots at her friends sends them scattering. Even Grumpy is smart enough to stay out from under her boots as she marches right out of the tavern and back toward their home. He looks at the Prince. "Hum, sorry?" he tries but is aghast when he sees actual tears filling the blonde Prince's.
"I'm not going to cry. I'm not going to cry. I'm not going to cry," he repeats aloud to himself several times. "It will ruin my makeup!" The reminder does him no good, however, as he starts to bawl. "MOMMY!"
Grumpy gestures at the Dwarves, and they all rush out together. "Great job, Grumpy," one of his brothers throws at him.
"Yeah, just great," Grumpy grouses. "All we needed was another bitch out to get us." They clear the scene, however, before the Tooth Fairy can show up, but Grumpy knows, sooner or later, she will show. He quickly decides, however, that he'll answer her accusations with his pick axe. She should've known better than to raise such a spoiled, girly brat as a Prince, any way.

This Valentine's Day date might just absolve the offer she's most recently come to owe him, but only time would tell.
"Would you like a drink?" Rumplestiltskin asks, testing.
"There's no need to offer," replies Jareth. He raises a gloved hand. Rumplestiltskin notes his choice of fashion with silent approval as the King twists his wrist and snaps his fingers. A silver pitcher appears and pours a fine wine into two goblets. He goes to take both, but Rumple snatches one straight out of the air without waiting to be offered. He smiles at him as they drink together. This is going to be a very interesting Valentine's Day evening indeed, he thinks to himself as Jareth mentally orders his Goblins to stay outside.

"I haven't seen you around here before." Ruby refills the other young woman's glass without being asked. Emma had told her to come over here and meet her friend earlier, but the restaurant had been so busy that she'd only now really gotten a chance to meet the girl. With fiery, red hair; bright, green eyes; a slim body obviously kept in shape; and the most adorable ears Ruby had ever seen, the girl was definitely a nice sight, but what intrigued her far more was the scent she'd been smelling on her ever since she entered earlier that evening. Now, at last, she had a chance to properly investigate the young woman with whom her friend had wanted to hook her up.
"I dined ask fer an'ther."
"I know." A smile curves Ruby's bright, red lips. "It's on the house." Her comment finally makes the redhead look up. "Nice accent." She enjoys the way it makes it shiver on this lonely, otherwise boring Valentine's Day night.
"Thank ye."
"Scottish?"
"Aye." She smiles. "Nae many are quick tae recognize it. Most mistake me brogue fer Irish."
"Oh, no." Ruby shakes her head in a way that sends her long, dark hair sliding around her shoulders. She notes the way the redhead's emerald green eyes go to her waist and the amount of skin already revealed there. Her nose crinkles at her. "It's much hotter."
The Scot's grin grows, revealing a nice set of shining, white fangs. Ruby drops down onto the counter beside her, knowing that her new position will give the other woman a chance to look down her blouse and see what she's putting on the proverbial table. "Not many of us around here," she comments, flashing her own fangs.
"Nae many o' us in this world, I'm afraid."
"You know there are other worlds?"
Green and brown eyes gaze steadily into each other. "Other worlds," the Scot finally admits with a shrug, "other times . . . "
Those few words cinch the deal for Ruby, but there's still one more thing of which she has to be certain. "I was about to lock up. Everybody else is gone for the night, off getting naked with their sweethearts, I imagine." She grins as a faint blush tinges the redhead's cheeks. "Do you have a date?"
"Nae. I . . . I'm travellin' alone."
"Me, too. Wanna stay?"
"I . . . I've ne'er done this sort o' t'ing before."
"That's okay," Ruby assures her. "I can lead." Quick as a flash, she runs and locks the doors and then is back beside the other Werewolf.
"I din't knae yer name."
"Ruby, or you can call me Red."
"Red. Hmm." Ruby watches, with big eyes, as the Scot runs her tongue into her glass of whiskey to catch the last few drops. "Color o' passion." Her blush turns crimson. She's never acted so brazen when she wasn't under a spell, but she's been lonely for far too long. She can tell this other girl, though they've just met, is a great deal of what she's been seeking. She's not only a companion for the night; she's one of her kind, not just a mutant but an actual SheWolf.
"Me name's Rahne." She places the emptied glass down onto the table, but her hand hesitates around it.
Ruby, however, doesn't wait to prove herself true to her word. Leaning forward, she takes Rahne's face in her hands and cups it upward. Her thumbs run gently over her cheeks, tracing her blush, as her fingers bury in her red curls. Her lips touch down on hers. Her tongue slips as smoothly into her mouth as Rahne's had slipped into the glass scant seconds before. She dips into her, her hands moving to cup around her pointed ears, and as she feels of her points, she knows that for tonight, at least, they have each found a match. Rahne moans and lets her in.

The End
