They're laughing and dancing all across the ship, and hardly any one notices the two of them any more. Jack breaks free from Will and swings across the Pearl's brow on one of the many ropes he keeps hanging down just for that purpose. Not to be daunted, Will grabs the rope when it swings back and swings after him.
"O Captain! My Captain!" he calls and promptly catches Jack around his slim waist. He pulls him back against him and kisses him long and deep.
Jack's eyebrows waggle when Will finally lets up for air. "O Captain? My Captain?" he asks and winks. "Is it the rum, Will, that makes a poet out o' ye?"
"No, luv, it's you! It always has been!" It is Jack who brings out the poet's soul in the boy, Jack who makes him not care if he's facing other Pirates or the law, Jack who makes him not even notice the rain that's pouring down on the ship now. It's Jack who's freed his soul and filled his heart, and Jack who he kisses again, longer this time, and deeper too, before pulling him back toward their cabin and what will surely await them both within.
The End
