Thunder boomed; rain and lightning slashed at the jet. Kitty was straining forward, steering the plane carefully through the midnight storm, when Rachel suddenly appeared in front of the console. She wore nothing but a tiny slip of red lingerie and a smile. "Ray, I'm trying to navigate here!"
"I know." Rachel pouted seductively. "But the storm's kinda got me in the mood, Kitty."
"You've got to be kidding me!" Lockheed cooed, his purple wings flapping with the irritation they both felt, from behind Kitty.
Rachel's telekinesis suddenly gave Kitty a warm tingle all over. She leaned forward, showing off her breasts. "I never kid about sex. Besides, that's what the auto pilot's for."
"In this storm?" Kitty barely had time to ask before Rachel planted her lips on hers. Kitty moaned against her passionate onslaught and barely managed to hit the auto pilot button before Rachel straddled her in the pilot's chair.

They know the world unseen. They travel it almost every day, regardless of what they really desire to do. They've been back in time and forward, too. They've visited other worlds and rescued parallel planes more times than they care to remember. They've been not just all around the world but all throughout the galaxy, saving lives and worlds, as well. There's nothing out there they don't know or haven't experienced.
Yet, their favorite world always lays close to where they make their own home. Right behind their very, closed doors is the world they crave. Only there can they forget everything and shut out everybody else. There, they can be themselves entirely and only themselves. They no longer have to fight with everything in them for a better world; they've already got the best any world can offer in each other.
It doesn't really matter what they're doing, rather they're making love, merely cuddling, watching movies, playing games, reading books, playing with Lockheed, trying on new outfits, or doing nothing at all. What matters is that they're together and, for a change out of danger, and they can show how much they love each other and revel in their shared peace and never-ending, blissful love without any strings or boundaries attached, without words if they so choose, without the prying, judging eyes of the world, and with no other expectations or responsibilities. They can love each other freely, and that's what they'll do, rather at home or elsewhere, forever.

All mah life, Ah've only wanted somebody to show me love. Ah know it sounds sappy and like Ah'm feelin' sorry for mahself, but it's true. Ah've been on th' run evah since Ah put Cody in a coma just by kissing th' dear, sweet boy. Ah ran from mah own family, 'cause Ah knew they wouldn't understand. Ah'd been loved up until that point, but Ah knew from then on, that Ah'd only evah be a monster to them if they found out what Ah did.
So Ah ran. Ah ran from them to Mystique, an' Ah thought Ah could find love there. Ah was wrong. Momma tries hard, but that woman don't know how to love. If she did, she never would've made me fight Miss Marvel so hard that now Ah ain't evah gonna get her outta mah head.
Still, Ah only wanna be loved, an' that love ain't comin' from Gumbo. All that Cajun wants is t' get in mah pants.
But Ah did know love for just a little while. Ah knew it one Summer on a river bank when one o' mah few real friends took me in her arms. Ah knew it then when she sacrificed herself for me, an' Ah've wanted it back evah since. Ah don't know if Ah'll evah get her back in mah arms, but Ah'll nevah stop wantin' her -- me an' about half th' guys on that've evah worn th' X. Ah sure know how to pick 'em.

She's always wanted a birthday party, but she hasn't had one since her parents threw her away into the asylum. She's always secretly wanted friends to care about her or people to at least admire her enough to want to celebrate her birthday. No one cares about her, however, no one except Scott, and sometimes, she wonders how much of that is his heart and how much is her trickery.
That thought immediately flees from her when she hears his charming voice inside her mind. No one's going to rain on your parade, Emma, but I need you in the War Room immediately. She goes without hesitation and with no idea of what is about to happen. Even her telepathy has not prepared her for the mutants who come jumping from the shadows. Everybody yells, "SURPRISE!" and "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!", and for the first time in her adult life, Emma glows with her happiness.

With every heartbeat, they rise higher into the sky, leaving the water and their team mates far behind. With every heartbeat, she forgets more of the reasons why they shouldn't be doing this as her passionate lover rains kisses upon her face and neck. Her winds and body caress Jean's flesh until she's forgotten everything. She knows no more any reason why they shouldn't be together, not even the ring on her finger, or even her name. She knows only Storm and the passion she brings into her until her husband's voice draws her out of her daydream yet again.

Thunder crashed and lightning flashed as lovers scurried to get out of the pouring rain. They huddled together in a cave. Puss bathed while Donkey's big ears swiveled. He listened, trying to not be scared, to the wind whistling through the cavern, but then heard the footstep of a monster descending.
"Wh-What's that?"
"It's nothing but the storm, mi amor."
"N-No! Th-That's s-something, all right!"
It sounded again, and Donkey bolted. Puss sighed as his eyes adjusted and spotted the sound's source: droplets splashing from the cave's ceiling. It was going to be a long time before he got any loving tonight!

"Ah need a niger," Blanche drawled one lazy, steaming hot afternoon.
Appalled, Dorothy shrieked, "Blanche!"
"Well, Ah do, Dorothy! Ah need a niger with a big, looong fan to cool me off."
"Blanche, you know how wrong that is -- "
Blanche cut her girlfriend off before she could fully launch into yet another of her tireless tirades about the wrongs of slavery. "Ah don't care how wrong it is!" she exclaimed, her eyes flashing. "Ah need somethin' more to cool me off! This ice just ain't workin' any more!" She dropped another cube down her extremely low cut blouse.
Dorothy's eyes hungrily followed the ice. "I've got something to cool you off," she said, walking purposefully toward her.
"No." Blanche held up a hand to stop her. "All ya do, shugah, is make me hotter. Ah need somethin' to cool off. Ah know." She shooed Dorothy away with the same hand that had stopped her proposal to make love to her. "Go get me a Good Humor man. They're always good for makin' it colder." She looked pointedly at Dorothy and then shooed her again. "Why are you still here? Go on now!"
Dorothy sighed; it was going to be a long Summer.
