Rumplestiltskin stares at the screen in front of him. He's still learning to use this thing, and he almost thinks he's clicked something wrong. Almost until he hears quick, hissing laughter behind him. He would turn around, but he knows he can not see them here. They may be able to see him, but magic does not exist in this realm.

It's a pity, truly, as he and their master would have so much to discuss today. Jareth would do him well to join him in his plans for revenge and a bottle of that fine, fire liquor over which they first connected. He also would not have to trick the King into coming to his aid for they have now been allies, literally, for centuries.

Rumplestiltskin looks back at the screen where enormous, purple words are jumping out of a card. There are party hats, confetti, and clinking goblets as well. A Goblin scurries across his screen, but it's just another addition to the card he's found in his mailbox, wishing him, in a regal, cursive font, a joyous day. Rumplestiltskin smiles, the first that has graced his handsome face which has recently been showing his age, in days. It's nice to be remembered, especially on his birthday.

Slowly, she brushes her long hair which is as black as the night that is falling outside. One strand after another, a hundred times over, she combs through it until at last she puts the bone-handled brush down and just stares into her own soulful, black eyes. She sighs. Tonight is one of those nights. Most of the time, she's happy with her life choices, but sometimes, she can't help feeling that there's more out there than entertaining the masses and being the sexiest ghoul above ground.

She glances at the reflection of her Witch's hat where it's hanging by her door, waiting for her to pick it up on her way out. She has a meeting of the BAW in just a few hours. Usually, she's happy to be around other women like herself, but the truth is that there is no one quite like her. She is a Sorceress, natural born, but she hardly ever has any luck with her magic. Of course, she's a Bad Ass, but she isn't much of a Bad Ass Witch.

To make matters worse, the rest of her favorite coven already knows that. That's why she's regulated to bringing the drinks. They won't even trust her with the food after her last casserole disaster. She still remembers Penny telling her that she's not accustomed to having to fry a dinner that's supposed to be already fried. It was a good thing Ororo was there that night instead of out saving the world with her team as she so often is.

That thought brings another sigh from Elvira's pouting, black lips. Every one of the BAW contributes to the coven's goal of making their world a better place. Ororo actively fights to save innocents as does Penelope. Her daughter, Patricia, is well on the way to bringing the Charmed Ones into this world, and they are supposed to be the most powerful Witches of their generation and save the world even more often than the X-Men. Amanda's fought alongside the X-Men, too, and she's even taken out her own mother, the Queen of Hell, before. Maleficent saved the whole of Fae kind, and every one knows that it's Glinda who keeps Oz safe, not the Wizard.

But what does she do? Elvira wonders. What does she really contribute to mankind, or even Witchkind, other than great sex? She feels like she should give more, like she should be doing more, but what does she have that any one wants? She's not that bright, and she's certainly not magically inclined despite her heritage. She's a scrapper and can handle herself in a one-on-one fight with most chicks, but saving the world is way out of her league.

She sighs. Face it, babe. You're way out of your league with everything the coven's really about. All you've got, her eyes go to her own cleavage, is a great set of teats.

The door opens, and a severed hand scampers into her bedroom. He jumps up and dives straight into the top of her black, silk dress. Elvira starts to sigh again. "Not tonight, Thing," she says. "I'm not in the mood."

He jumps out of her dress and signs furiously. She chuckles derisively at her own self. "Yeah, I know. When am I not in the mood?"

He lands on her dresser, and even though he's not got eyes, she knows when she's being looked at, when she's being studied. Then he sighs again. She smirks. "Yeah, you're right. It's better to have great pumpkins than a great brain." But then her smile fades and she sighs once more. "But sometimes, I wonder, y'know? There are so many babes out there doing more than I'm ever going to do."

"You do more than you realize," states a cool, calm voice from Elvira's opened doorway.

"Yeah?" She glances up at the Queen. She may have given up the title long ago, but many of them still think of her as a Queen. She is the leader of their coven, the leader of the Fae still, despite the fact that she's passed her crown down to her daughter already, and always carries herself like a Queen no matter where she goes. But then, a lot of the most powerful Witches already do that. It's a trait Maleficent shares with Ororo, Glinda, and even Morticia, although, she admits, the latter doesn't do much more for the world than she does.

"Indeed." Maleficent glides toward her but then pauses as Thing looks at the crow on her shoulder. The crow swoops toward the hand who, in turn, hurries toward him. Thing launches himself into the air. Diaval swoops downward to meet him. Thing's fingers touch the crow's talons in their own form of a high five. Both women smile at the sight; then, the hand and crow hurry off to catch up and give their ladies some privacy.

Elvira's attention goes back to Maleficent. "Like what?" she almost snaps, not in the mood to be played.

"My dear, you grace every one of these talking boxes that the humans so treasure across the globe. Millions who remain blissfully unaware of the rest of us are very much aware of you."

"Yeah, so I give 'em a hard on. Big deal."

"It is a big deal, Elvira, whenever you open a small mind, and you do that well and often."

She smirks. "So they wanna fuck a Witch."

"That is far better than staking a Witch. You help our reputation with the common folk, and that, my dear, is important."

Elvira considers Maleficent's words for a moment before standing. "I guess so."

"Are you ready to depart?"

"Yeah." But as they walk out of her bedroom, Elvira turns to shut her door and takes one last, long look at her reflection in the mirror. She grins, Maleficent's words ringing in her mind. No one can ignore her body. She winks at herself. Ya got the pumpkins, girl. Ya might as well use 'em for the world. And use them, she does, quite well indeed.

Mary Margaret stares in disbelief at the small scrap of black fabric. "You want me to try this on?" she asks, looking incredulously at Ruby.

Ruby widens her eyes and makes them shine. Her full, red mouth draws down into a seductive pout that she knows has always made Snow go wild, even back during their days alone in the Enchanted Forest. "For me?" she whispers huskily.

"Don't give me that look!" Mary Margaret exclaims which is when Ruby really pours on her very best whining, puppy dog expression. She even whimpers and then can not help the grin that blasts across her face when her best friend, and secret lover, throws her mouth open wide in shock.

Mary Margaret glances fearfully around the small shop, but Ruby just shrugs. "Nobody noticed," she assures her, "but they will if you don't try it on."

"I'm not trying this on in public."

"Then I'll buy it for you," returns Ruby, "and you can try it on for me in private tonight."

"It is a full moon tonight, isn't it?"

Ruby grins and practically wriggles. Mary Margaret laughs, but it is Snow's eyes who are shining again as Red used to make them do. "Fine, fine. I'll try it on. One time only, though!"

Ruby grins like the wolf she is. "It'll only last one time, and I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll totally eat you out." And indeed that's exactly what happens that night under the silver light of the big, shining, full moon that always brings out the wildest hungers in woman and beast.

Title: Wish Granted

Character/Pairing: Dean/Castiel

He really thinks they have forgotten. After all, the brothers have so much else on their minds. He tries not to be melodramatic, as Dean's called him on his habit of sometimes having trouble looking on the "brighter side" of things in the past, but the fate of the whole world rests on their shoulders. They can't be expected to remember one day, especially one that isn't all that important in the grand scheme of things, and it's not as though Angels actually have birthdays, any way. It's just another human tradition that shouldn't be important to him.

He's still trying to ignore the date when he and Dean slip out for supplies. He doesn't think anything of it when Dean pulls into the parking lot of a little cafe, muttering, "I'm hungry. Let's grab us a bite, and then we'll take something back for Sam and Kevin."

There's a child surrounded by people in the center of the cafe's floor. They're all smiling, wearing silly hats, and singing, "Happy Birthday", but she is a child. Children expect to get rewarded for surviving another year. Even Dean tries to let his birthday slide by without a notice. Castiel looks quickly away from the crowd, hiding his frown, ignoring the feeling of fluttering at his back from wings he no longer possesses, and slides into the booth across from Dean.

Castiel is so caught up in trying not to look at the child and to ignore the date and focus on the menu in front of him instead that he misses Dean signal the waitress. He misses the money and note passed underneath the table as she takes their drink orders. He even lets Dean order for him without paying any of it any mind.

But when the waitress returns and Dean keeps clearing his throat until Cas finally does look up, the former Angel realizes all his struggles to forget are for naught. The waitress breaks into song, and Dean joins her. Suddenly, the attention is shifted from the child to the man in the corner of the room. Strangers he doesn't even know join in the song, and Castiel lowers his eyes in shy embarrassment.

Then he sneaks another look at his cake. Eating has become a favorite past time of his. He finally understands why Dean loves to devour food so much. The tastes that explode in his mouth are always fascinating and delicious. They provide an euphoria unlike anything else, and the cake before him, layered with creamy frosting and topped with multiple candles, promises to be one of the greatest mouth explosions he's experienced yet.

"Make a wish, Cas," Dean murmurs, waving the waitress away when they're done singing.

Castiel pauses for just a moment. He still feels eyes on him and is a little nervous, but Dean's looking at him so expectantly and has caused all of this. He leans forward, wishes for the one thing he most wants for himself in all the world, and blows. Dean leans over the cake as the candles are extinguished and quickly kisses Cas. Castiel beams back at him, his wish already granted.
