"Is he gone?" he whispers, entering.
"Yeah. He won't be back tonight."
"Dean! Look who it is!" Mary calls from the doorway, stepping to one side with Sammy still cradled in her arms.
"SANTA!" Dean yells. Both adults grin as the oldest boy runs straight into "Santa"'s red-clad legs. The impact sends the whiskered man stumbling back a little, but then he raises the joyous child into his arms. They may not be able to give him many good things in which to believe, but this is certainly one of them.
Above Dean's little head, Mary, beaming brightly, mouths, "Thank you, Bobby."
