"The End," he announces and, closing the book, looks down at doe eyes watching him intently. He always knows the truth.
"You ready to go, officer?"
He hears their whispers. "I want him to be my Prince." "Man, I wanna be like that when I grow up!" "So cool!" "So handsome!" "Bet he could save the day!"
Sam sighs, but upon turning to Dean, finds himself admitting the whispers' truths. He's always wanted to be like his brother -- maybe, not just like him, but like him nonetheless. And he would, Sam thinks, make a fine Prince, but he'll never tell him.
