It's proven to be an . . . interesting week, to say the least. Most of you are aware that Trent and Smokey go out on us a couple of weeks ago. Trent's been hanging in the yard, being seen every day though not letting us get close until the last couple of days, whereas Smokey has all but completely disappeared and has only been seen once. My beloved Jack and I saw him for the first time in almost two weeks a couple of days ago. He refused to let me get close, even acted as though he was scared of me, and wouldn't even eat the can I left out for him! Needless to say, I'm rather hurting by his rejection. After all, he was one of my top babies, and he is my beloved Owl, whose one of the cats who I loved who died miserably in my arms, reincarnated. And now he doesn't want anything to do with me!!
I'm man enough to admit that I was kicking myself hard for letting him get out on us before seeing him again. I was struck roughly by his behavior, but then with my love, Jack, talking to me, I got to thinking. Almost all of our other babies are still showing complete loyalty. Her Royal Majesty Cindy aside as she'll always be my top baby and I her top human, regardless, Jackeesy still runs like a proud racehorse when I call him, Simba climbs the door to get in and to me when we get home, and Spike Zorro actually gave up getting a free can at the neighbors' for a while when he realized I was upset with him for, as Jackeesy so eloquently and accurately coined it, pimping himself for a can. Casper keeps coming back to me no matter how many times I push her away for kneading, and so does Tiger, Millie, and several more. It's not me, and it's not that I'm losing my appeal to our babies. It's just Smokey, and his betrayal is just something with which I've got to come to terms.
Speaking of betrayals, we've had two more happen to us this week. One of our oldest readers, a girl who proclaimed herself to be our #1 reader and who we've helped through Gods only remember what all over the years, has now been added to our blockage list after complaining about a Flintstones fic I wrote. I didn't care that she didn't want to read and didn't like the pairing or material; that didn't get off with me in the least. But when she demanded that I not send a story I had written to Jack's and my mailing list that was only created so that my love and I can send everything we want to share and all that we write to that list, that was going way too far. I still have trouble believing she turned out to be such a callous idiot!
And then we found out who stole my wallet: a woman who claimed to be down on her luck, misused by all her family, and who we were doing our best to help! Ladies, don't get this wrong, because most of my online friends are women, but I swear, it seems that every woman I encounter in RL, sooner or later, turns out to be a real bitch!

Get your mind out of the gutter, people! He bloody well doesn't want them, or me, that way!

Also aligning with Casper, others who never stay off of me for long, no matter how many times I push them off and whose pictures I just don't have time to share right now though I'd like to, include, but aren't even limited to, Tiger; my beloved Jack's boy, Hansel; Fonzie; Millie; Christopher; and lots more. So, you see, it really is that crazy Smokey's fault for jumping ship and abandoning us!! Oh, well. Maybe one day the little, selfish brat will learn! *sigh* Although I do still miss him and may very well always miss him . . .
Any ways, gotta go! Mardi Gras' calling us! Have fun, every one!
