She was free, she thought. She was amazingly free as she fell with the woman who'd managed to sneak her way into her every good dream for a year now. Sophie had hated these jumps when she had first started working with Parker, but since Parker had started grabbing her and holding her tight in the safety of her arms as they fell, she had slowly come to like them. Now, as Parker held her once more, Sophie's heart hammered in her ears; she felt braver than she had in a very long time. She was free, free to do anything she wanted!
Parker's eyes widened with shock as Sophie's lips suddenly pressed against hers. Unlike Sophie, she had always enjoyed jumping and always preferred to jump from as high a point as possible. It was in the open air that she had always felt the safest and bravest, but now she was truly falling. She was falling in love!
Sophie's only slightly trembling arms slid around Parker's waist. She felt the beating of her heart against hers and lifted her lips from hers long enough to whisper, "I'll catch you."
Parker grinned and closed the distance between them as she kissed her back at long last. They were free together, free to fall in love and love whomever they wanted!
They glided down to earth together, but when they landed this time, they knew the jump had changed their lives forever. They were in love and had never been happier!
