These were their true beginnings, Magnus thought, walking the lonely shore alone. His life had been completely changed three times now. Each time, he'd felt a part of him die only to still find a purpose but no longer. Erik was truly dead now, at long last. He had died when Charles, whose deceitful lies of love had resurrected him the last time, had chosen the humans, their hatred, and cruelty over Erik.
It had been a pain unlike anything the poor, still foolish boy had ever known. It had killed him on the spot, but Magneto would live forever and one day soon, the humans would pay for Erik's death and the destruction of the beautiful world, and lies, he'd shared with Magneto's greatest enemy. Charles would rue those lies, but any more he told would come too late for Erik's heart lay buried on these shores forever more.
