Challenge: Started out as an answer for the Gen-Drabble LJ comm's weekly challenge but ended up way too long. Normally, I'd cut it down to size, but cutting this one down to 100 words would leave too little story to make sense.

Spike surveyed the growing group around the Slayer. "What's the mission tonight?"
"Hum . . . Well . . . " Buffy had the common decency to avert her eyes.
"It looks like we may actually have a night off," Willow spoke shyly.
Xander beamed. "We're going for Chinese!"
"Wanna come?" Willow realized, a moment later, her mistake as Buffy nudged her. She blushed. "Well, hum, that is, I guess you don't really have much need to -- "
"You're fine, Red," Spike interjected. He glowered at Buffy, then stalked off.
"What was that all about?" Dawn asked.
"Chinese used to be his favorite," Buffy explained.
"Chinese is everybody's favorite!" Then, Xander murmured, "Oh."
Spike was still glowering when he reached his fridge. "Bloody Chinese," he muttered, almost ripping off the fridge door as he retrieved his leftover Chinese from the night before. He grimaced as he sipped the blood. Even bagged Chinese didn't taste the same as real human blood! He growled; he hated having a restricted diet!
