Failure is never an option for a Luthor. Greatest of all those endeavors in which Lex is determined to succeed is the latest mystery to fall into his lap. He has to unravel it. He has to know the truth of his savior. Is Clark just a human, or is he a Superman? Could he fall somewhere in between? Lex knows he can't be a simple human. No mere mortal could have withstood being hit by his car. Whatever the answers are, Lex knows when he finds them, they will not change his friendship with Clark for nothing ever will.
