She wakes, slips from her bed, and pads across to the window. She opens it to let in the night and immediately snarls her anguish. "It's still raining!" Her red eyes are fierce; yet her lips are pulled down into a teenaged pout.
"Jubilee," Laura's voice is as calm and even as it ever is, "return to bed." She shows no sign of being tired despite the hours they've languished together in bed.
Jubilee casts a curious glance at the beautiful woman gazing steadily at her. "Really, X?" she asks, her pout transforming into a grin and an eyebrow quirking. "You're not tired yet?"
"A benefit of my healing factor is . . . "
Jubilee springs, sails across the room, and lands on top of her lover. "I don't need an essay on how your mutant power makes you an Energizer Bunny, baby," the Vampire says, revealing her fangs as she straddles the mutant. "I just need you."
She lowers her mouth over her neck but does not bite. She'll never bite her again after the time that she almost took too much from her, but the sensation of feeling her pulsating vein against her tongue and teeth is too much to resist. The pleasure her fangs pressing against her skin and her tongue licking the spot where her heart pulses in X's throat is also too much for Laura to ever want Jubilee to stop. Jubes suckles Laura's neck, and suddenly the storm doesn't matter even if it lasts all night long again.
