I want to get back to being more active on LJ and more up to date on my postings. I'm even considering giving up FFN and laying more directly to LJ. In the spirit of that, here's our brunch for today:
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
2 Tablespoons sherry
1/8 teaspoon garlic
1/8 teaspoon ginger
1 pound pork
1 cup white rice
1 1/2 cup water
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup terriyaki
Cut pork into small, bite-sized pieces. Stir together pork, soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, garlic, and ginger. Add in rice, water, broth, and terriyaki. Bake or boil until meat is done.
paired with my traditional, always-a-winner
1 can sliced baby carrots
3 eggs
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar (white will suffice)
3 Tablespoons flour
1 Tablespoon vanilla
Mix everything together; bring to a boil.
