She stared at her son, trying hard to keep from falling apart before him and yet unable to hide her sheer terror. She'd lied to Henry. Now, she might lose him, a fate she deserved but didn't think she could handle. It had been a mistake to let him go, but her greatest mistake yet was in lying to her son. He spoke, wanting to see his dad. Although she hurried to please him, it still hurt. He'd accepted her lie too calmly. She'd hurt him just like Regina. Shamefully, Emma closed her eyes and backed away, allowing Bael closer.
