She wakes slowly to her lover's kiss to find the sun already riding high in the morning sky and their bodies still tangled. She moves slightly, sliding out from underneath her and wriggling her toes for her legs are almost asleep. Her partner smirks down at her. "Ready to start the day?" she asks.
Usually, she can not wait for another day with her means another day in the adventure that has become their lives. There are few things she wants more than to watch by her side as she saves lives and rights wrongs. She amazes her every day, and she knows she's lucky Xena lets her travel with her. Still, there is one more thing she prefers to their journey together.
She leans up, slides her hair through Xena's raven hair, cups the back of her head, and presses her lips to hers. She feels her smile against her mouth and starts to lower back down while never moving her mouth from hers. There are few things she enjoys more than adventuring with her warrioress, but this is certainly the most wonderful of them all.
