She doesn't have to say it. She sees it every time their eyes meet. She feels it her every touch and witnesses it every time their lives are on the line. Red would do anything for her. She loves her, and that love runs far deeper than the sisterly bond they show the world.

She feels it every time their bodies knock together, rather it's during riding the same horse or being thrown together by an enemy or something wilder, darker, and yet far more fun, something shared only between the two of them. She comes to her even on the nights of the full moon, though Snow will never admit that to Red. She comes to her every night, and every night, she takes her into her arms. Every night, they love -- until the night she is finally together again with her Prince.

There is a small part of Snow that still wishes Red would call to her as she takes his hand. If she would only speak her name once in longing, she would be back to her side in an instant, but she doesn't. She watches, and she waits. She watches him take the woman she loves, and she wishes them aloud all the luck and joy in the world.

But when Snow's eyes meet hers, there is no joy therein. There is no happiness. There is a darkening instead, and it is then that Snow realizes that everything they've been fighting for may now be hers but it wasn't what Red was fighting for at all. She was fighting for her. She was fighting to protect her, to save her, to give her the happiness she had thought her True Love would give her.

Her hand is now cold and small inside of Charming's. He rubs her palm with his fingers. She barely notices for her eyes are still locked with Red's. She's never told her. She's never had to, but now, Snow feels like screaming at her best friend to tell her, really tell her, how she feels. Still, she sees it as plain as day in those wonderful, dark eyes of hers, those eyes that haunt her dreams and will continue to do so for as long as she lives.

She sees it in her every movement. She sees it as she stands still that night and later beside her as her bride's maid. She sees it every time she looks into her eyes, and she almost wants to beg her to tell her. But she doesn't. She holds her tongue, and Red holds hers. But her eyes still speak volumes. Her eyes tell her, every day, she will do anything for her: even step aside so that she can be happy with her True Love while she lives on without hers for her True Love is married to a man now.

Her True Love is her best friend, and although she waits to hear her words of love and adoration spill from her ruby, red lips, they never come. Still, she knows. She sees her love every day in her eyes. She sees it when she constantly throws her life on the line for her. She sees it in the way she lets her go.

And, three nights a month, she hears it in her lonely howl. If any one sees their Princess throw back her own head and howl in return, they pretend they've seen nothing. They all pretend they don't know even when the two spend a night howling back and forth to each other, but still they know for they can all see it in their eyes.
