"So how'd your date go?" Paige asks, sliding into the booth across from her friend and signaling their waiter to bring them their usual.

"Are you kidding?" Dropping her tube of lipstick into her purse and snapping it shut, the other woman sighs. "I can't hide it any more, Paige," she confesses. "Brad took one look at me and became as useless as a pair of high heels on a basketball court."

"I'm sorry," Paige says, placing her hand over Jenny's. "But we knew this was going to happen sooner or later."

The brunette sighs, her face falling. "Yeah," she admits. "I just hoped I could hide it a little while longer."

"There's nothing to hide," Paige tells her, "nothing to be ashamed of. You didn't ask for the baby, but you're doing the right thing by keeping her. I brought you this."

"Her first shirt and . . . a necklace?"

"She won't be able to wear it for a few years." Paige smiles gently. "It's just a little good luck charm." It's not a complete lie, she thinks. It will bring the child good luck, and keep her safe from Demons at the same time.

"Paige," Jenny says, catching her hand, "thank you. I don't know if I could do this if you weren't behind me."

"I'm not behind you." Paige's words make Jenny frown, but then she smiles as her friend explains, "I'm right here beside you, and I will be every step of the way. We're survivors, Jenny, and your baby's going to be one, too."

"I hope you're right."

"Of course I am."

"What makes you so sure?"

Paige smiles. "Women's intuition. Besides, I'm an aunt already four times over. I kind of have a feel for this kind of thing now, and your baby Samantha's going to be just fine."

"I know she will, with you behind -- well, beside us. I still don't know about her middle name, though. Kids in our school would've picked on a Prudence."

"That's why you call her Sam or Prue for short, but trust me: Prue's a charmed name. Everything's going to be just fine. Your baby girl will be healthy, happy, beautiful . . . " She beams. "She'll be practically magical."

"All that and the best aunt ever. She's got it made."

"Yes, she does, and so do you. I've got two tickets for Latina night tonight, and we're going to salsa with Ricardo and Pierre all night long." She grabs the straw of her drink as they arrive and takes a long sip, her eyes dancing with eager anticipation.

Jenny sighs. "Pierre is dreamy!" she admits, springing a laugh from Paige.

"I didn't think anybody uses that word any more."

"Well, he is!"

"Well, he's all yours tonight, Jenny. I'll take Ricardo." She knows she'll have a magical time tonight, regardless of her date, because she'll be watching her friend have fun. In the end, for Paige, it wasn't about the fun; it was all about her family, friends, and now again, her growing family.
