Summary:
Disclaimer: All characters within belong to Joss Whedon and Mutant Enemy, not the author, and are used without permission.
She always thought she would trump the Slayer, she was the better, cooler, and far prettier girl after all, but she'd never thought it would be this way. It's strange: She has the memories of her lifetime before, but her desires and morals (really, what mortals?) have changed so greatly. She feels no remorse over the people they've killed tonight, and it is with pride that she takes her beloved's hand and steps onto the Slayer's corpse.
She grinds her high heel into Buffy's blonde head, and the crowd around them goes wild. She looks up, beaming as once she did before cameras, but cameras aren't a part of her life any longer. The humans still haven't figured out how to capture their kind on film, and they never will. They've never best them, just as Buffy never really bested her.
She looks down at the bloodied, blonde hair beneath her shoe and smirks. "I told you I'd have him."
"Now, now, darling, don't get the food too dirty," her mate chides, grinning with a full array of fangs.
She used to be scared of Vampires, and even Angel spooked her sometimes with his grr face, but no longer. Now she smiles back, her own yellow eyes alight with delight and her own, pretty mouth filled with equally deadly fangs. "She was always too dirty for you."
"Nah." He shakes his head. "Not dirty enough." Then he grabs, twirls her around in his arms amongst the shouts of their people, and kisses her before their legion of Vampires, before the world, and best of all, above Buffy's dead corpse. Yeah, she no longer has what few morals she once had, but instead, Cordelia Chase has everything else she's ever wanted. Angelus' fangs bury deep within her breasts, and she squeals her thrill to the world, no longer abashed, fearful, or controlled by anything but freer than Queen C ever was before.
