He arrives seconds after the police. He tries to tell them he's a concerned teacher, a friend, family even, but they will not let him pass. He's considering casting a spell over the lot when he finally spots Xander.
"What happened? It was supposed to be a simple mission designed to see if the two of them can work together, which they clearly can not! Where's Buffy? I suppose I should be glad they did not blow the roof off of the building!" An enormous crash behind him pales Giles. "Please tell me that was not -- "
"Yup. That was the roof."
