Her fingers hesitate on the page. She stares at the letters she's written through the mist hazing her vision. To the world, hers is just another story, but where the world sees ink on white pages, she sees blood. This is not just another story. This is hers.
Every word is another moment endured in this world, every character another second survived. Her tears fall, but her pen moves again. It doesn't flow with ink. It flows with blood, crimson, wet, hard to endure, harder still to expel. It flows with her blood, and she breathes as her characters live.
