"It would appear," Lex commented dryly, surveying the scene of destruction littered with torn hearts and "Superman" burned throughout, "that you have a secret admirer."
Superman's blue eyes left the crime scene long enough to gaze into his supposed arch enemy's baby blues. The outside world saw only harshness in those deep orbs, but Clark bore witness to the love and concern usually kept hidden therein daily. He smiled warmly at his sweetheart, his hands still on his hips in his pose that Lex called his "Mister America" position behind closed doors. "It doesn't matter," he assured. "I've only got eyes for one person in all the worlds."
Clark managed to wink a split second before reporters converged on them. As they faced the media and their quizzical onslaught, the lovers stood side by side, wishing only for some private time spent alone with their true valentines, showing one another their endless love for each other they dared not reveal in public. Clark's eyes twinkled even while forcing a glower at Lex. Just as soon as he could get him alone, he'd show him that he was the only valentine he would ever want and claim what was rightfully his forever more!
