Mavis contemplatively watched Jonathan as he tenderly stroked his backpack. "What are you doing?" she asked after he'd unwrapped several rolls and began putting things away in the drawers of his new room.
"I'm putting my things away."
"You're dismantling your backpack," she spoke gently, knowing how much it mattered to him.
"Yeah." He nodded. "But I don't need to travel any more. I know where I belong. I've seen the most beautiful view on Earth already." He looked slyly at her, then put up more of his luggage.
"What?" she asked.
"You." Taking her hands in his, he kissed her.

Title: New Again
Author: Kat Lee
Fandom: Leverage
Characters/Pairing: Eliot, Ensemble
Rating: G/K
Word Count: 200
Summary:
Disclaimer: All characters belong to their rightful owners, not the author.
Eliot had traveled the world many times over. There wasn't a famous city in which he hadn't fought. The sights that left most people breathless with awe had long ago become common place to him, so much so that he no longer noticed them. Nothing was really new, after all; every city was just another battlefield in the never-ending war of his life. Famous places were marked not with their own stories or with awe they might have once inspired but rather by blood spilled there. Then he found himself with a family; suddenly, what'd become old became new again.
Eliot had thought years ago that he'd never find interest in traveling again, having seen and fought in every exotic locale in the world, but his new, adopted family changed that. The view he and Parker were rewarded with when they jumped off of the Eiffel Tower was truly breathtaking, even for a hardened warrior. Eliot treasured the picture he took with Sophie standing before Big Ben and beat Hardison in the head for putting their faces on Mount Rushmore. Still, he'd never seen anything more beautiful than when his family came together for him in his own home town.
The End

Morticia sighed delightedly, turning in her beloved's arms to survey the view before them. Dark settled over their favorite travel spot, the Dead Sea. Screams suddenly split the rising night; Morticia's proud grin filled her beautiful, pale face. "Ah! Listen, darling! The children are helping a traveler fit inside his luggage!"
"They always have been the helpful sort," Gomez boasted proudly.
Light further down shore caught Morticia's attention. "Look. Our dear Uncle Fester has made a new friend."
"I hope this one lasts."
"Me, too. He does have such trouble with amour."
Gomez promptly started kissing her; their 150th anniversary was underway!
The End

The enemies' eyes traveled down one another's bodies. One surveyed the other's fashion-questionable outfit and lack of cleavage with a smirk while the other noted that her opponent had grown both in strength and paleness since the last time she'd seen her. "Step away from Angel," Buffy finally spoke commandingly, prompting another smirk from Cordy.
"I would say make me, but you can't. He loves me now."
"He doesn't love you. He's only doing you so that he won't revert to Angelus again with that whole one moment of pure happiness thing."
"And you think you're that happiness bringer?"
"I know I am."
Cordelia's hazel eyes traveled the Slayer's body again before, with a flip of her long hair, she looked up to her lover. "Can't I go ahead and do her in?" she questioned, pouting.
Buffy's eyes widened. She looked sharply to Angel, who grinned a fang-filled, devious smile.
"Go for it, darlin'."
Buffy quickly grabbed two stakes. She whirled back to face Cordelia, who was smiling with every bit as much fang as the man they both wanted. Cordy struck swiftly, surely, and fatally, smiled over Buffy's dying body, and made sure the last thing she saw was her kissing Angelus.
The End

He could barely breathe as he watched her plane fly in. His palms sweated; his heartbeat roared in his ears. Every time she left him, it was the same. He was miserable without her, couldn't wait for her return, and was then fearful when she did come home.
His love had traveled the world, speaking for her causes at all kinds of events, most of which would never welcome him without her, and earning global admiration. There was no reason she should love him, and he feared constantly that she would find another man, one more worthy of her love.
Passengers with luggage trudged pass Rich as he stood alone, wringing his hands. He should have accepted the tickets she'd offered, but he always felt so out of place traveling with her. Every convention they attended together made him fear more that she would awaken and realize how unworthy of her love he truly was.
Yet again, however, when Dana called his name and he turned toward her, all Rich's fears vanished. Her special smile for him was the most beautiful view Rich had ever seen for it was a silent renewal of their love. He ran and kissed her.

"Any questions?" Gabrielle asked. "You in the chain mail skirt."
"You traveled so many places with Xena. Did you have any favorites?"
Gabrielle smiled sadly; her green eyes sheened. "No. I would have said so at one time, but the truth is, Xena made the lands interesting and beautiful. We did have some better times in some places than others, but that was because of our surroundings, not the places themselves. My favorite place was with her."
A ghostly hand touched the bard's shoulder; an invisible arm hugged her waist. Smiling wistfully, Gabrielle forced down tears. They were still together even now.

Slamming doors were almost drowned out by fiercely shouting voices. Jesse immediately took refuge in the garage and solace in his motorcycle. He stroked his bike's hard, beautiful metal, remembering easier, better days, freedom, and the wind blowing through his thick, sensual mane. He straddled his bike, wanting, for a moment, nothing more than to go traveling again and never stop back in this town.
But a tiny hand touched his leg. He looked down into his niece's face and knew he wasn't going anywhere. "Unca Jesse go bye bye?"
"No, squirt, never," he promised, pulling her up into a hug.
He wouldn't admit he was crying as he held tightly to his niece. She pulled back and smiled at him through her own tears. She shook her head, causing the hair he'd brushed so many times over the years to bounce. "This isn't bye," she promised. "I'm going to visit all the time."
"You better," he said, squeezing her hard and then sending her off with her groom on her motorcycle.
Becky hugged him. "She's going to be fine."
Jesse nodded, acknowledging. Though he cried, he'd never been prouder. It was her turn to travel the world; Michelle was ready.
Title: Jack's Only Friend
Author: Kat Lee
Fandom: Rise of the Guardians
Characters/Pairing: Jack Frost
Rating: G/K
Word Count: 300, 100 in each drabble
Summary:
Disclaimer: All characters belong to their rightful owners, not the author.
Jack Frost had traveled the world many times over. Wherever Winter went, he was there, and so he had been everywhere at one time or another for even Africa, on rare occasion, felt a touch of the cold. At first, it had all seemed new and exciting to him, but now there was nothing left that was new. He had instead only the same, old heartaches.
He had, on occasion, had to do bad things to people and, on even rarer occasion, had enjoyed it. However, for the most part, Jack helped humans, especially children, yet they never saw him.
Jack traveled from place to place, bringing snow and laughter, but nobody ever saw him. Nobody saw him, so he could make no friends. Nobody believed in him; he was left alone in a world full of laughter and splendor.
It wasn't all pretty. Jack'd seen horrible things in his time, but still, he craved human companionship. He wanted some one to talk to, some one with whom to laugh and play, but all he had was the man in the moon. Thereby, even with the world at his fingertips, Jack went to the moon more often than anywhere else.
The man in the moon was Jack's best, and only, friend. It didn't matter that he didn't know his name. It did matter that he did not talk more often. Jack yearned for some one not only to listen to him but to converse with him, and the man in the moon, whatever his name was, was more often a silent listener than anything else. Still, Jack traveled to visit him almost every night, because even if he never said another word, Jack knew he heard him. He knew he knew he was real, and that, at least, was something.

Now, watching as she lays her gray head upon her pillow, Jareth knows he never will. "Goodbye, Sarah," he whispers and flies away into the rising sun one last time.

Date: 2014-01-27 08:43 am (UTC)Addams' 150th Anniversary: Also never read of those two, but whoa! In such little words so much ICness. You really brought them to life in my mind :D *bad pun intended xD*
Over Angel: That's my favourite :O So amazing and I never thought of that pair! I think I ship them now ... "Cordy struck swiftly, surely, and fatally, smiled over Buffy's dying body, and made sure the last thing she saw was her kissing Angelus." Yesssss! I hoped Buffy would lose <3

Date: 2014-02-02 11:32 pm (UTC)I've always wanted Buffy to lose against Cordelia. She deserved to be happy with Angel, even if she never got it, and I quite imagine she would've been happy to have Angelus if she couldn't have Angel. Besides, I like the idea of a badass Vamp!Cordy. :-)
I'm surprised you've never read any Gomez/Morticia before; I've got a few others already posted here.
And sometimes, cliches can be exactly what's needed!
