The skies had been gray for weeks. Their gloom had affected Anita deeply, making her feel lonely and showing even through her brush as her paintings all proved to be as gloomy and moody as she and the weather. She hadn't painted anything bright or worth selling since the weather had turned, and she had barely had the motivation to put her brush to the easel. Yet, then, finally a chance encounter on the street brought the lonely woman a new friend. With Perdi in her life, the clouds were gone, and Anita found herself with endless inspiration and companionship.
