Prayers Needed For Spike Zorro

Part wants to go into prayer hysterics, while yet another part wonders if it might be best, for my sweet boy, of course, to let him go. Those of you who have been with us for a while might recall the horrors we had before we moved -- how we lost so many babies to something the vets could never quite figure out. We suspected poison. The last thing we were told was distemper, and then Harry's vet when we got here, before we lost him, told us that distemper is pretty much a thing of the past.
Every one went down hard but took a while to breathe their last, bless their hearts and souls. We put down three, the hardest thing I've ever had to do. There was no cure that could be found. We shelled out all the money we had, took them to vets, to specialists, to any one who might be able to help, all to no avail.
Now Spike, the best Poppa Kitty there's ever been, our very own dear, sweet, wonderful Thomas O'Malley seems to have come down with whatever this mess is. New theory on the poison side: It could be that he ate a rat that had eaten poison. I talked to some one who lost a dog in very much the same way we've lost so many of our beloved babies, and that's what happened there. The fact that the poor baby didn't actually eat the poison would make it harder for the vets to trace them, and honestly, how many vets are worth their money these days? Most just seem to be in their jobs for the money instead of saving lives as they should be.
To make matters worse for my poor darling, he's only had one lung for years now. I'm waiting for my beloved Drew to get home even as I type this so we can take him to the vet. There's one left around here who hasn't had a chance yet. I want to pray that he'll have the answer, but after having so many of our babies die in my very arms, it seems, to say the least, so unlikely.........
Please pray for our beloved Spike Zorro to get well, and pray for us, too, that we'll find the identity and, more importantly, the cure for this horrid wasting disease......
Oh, and here are some other pics of one of my top baby boys ever: Spike Zorro
