Our beloved Spikey has survived so far, thank God! We took him to the vet this morning, and he kept him. He did a lot of blood work; the results of the tests should be back in the morning. It's not sounding good, but then, it never sounds good when they talk about tests in these cases and they always come back negative. What is sounding good is that when my love called to check on him this evening, our baby boy, Spike Zorro, was actually sitting up, paying attention, and watching what the vet was doing. This is the most attentive he has been in two days; we're praying it's a good sign and that he'll make it. Please keep praying with us. We're not ready to lose our baby nor is his kittens and even his puppy! His family needs our Spike.

On his first time out as a young, strapping tomcat, Spike Zorro knocked up a local wildcat. She brought the kittens to them as soon as she could get them weaned, left them on our doorstep, and he took over. He did a wonderful job raising those boys and has ever since taken any new kitten or puppy underneath his wing and cared for them as if they were his own! More of the world's best Daddy Kitty here!
