TV Characters Recast

Nathan Lane as Cameron Tucker in Modern Family
When I first started considering possible characters to recast, I found myself quickly admitting that I'm rather happy with the portrayals of all the characters on the shows I regularly watch, so the question wasn't so much who could do better as it was who could do as well. When I hit on Nathan Lane, the answer was obvious. Both Nathan and Eric are big men, made bigger by their personalities and hearts. I would love to see Nathan get a chance at Cam, although I also never want to lose our actual Cam.

Ashley Tisdale as Cher in Clueless
Following in Alicia Silverstone's footsteps is a hard task for any young actress. Although Rachel did great, I dare say Ashley Tisdale would do even better. After all, Sharpay and Cher already have a good number of things in common: fashionistas, divas, shopping, and, of course, Pink with bigger hearts than either will admit.

Nia Peeples as Phoebe Halliwell in Charmed
It's no secret that Shannon may have stayed with us longer on Charmed if not for Alyssa. Between the two, I'd much rather have kept Shannon. Nia is great at playing strong women, and I think she would have made a great addition to the Halliwell family.

Eliza Dushku as Eve Baird in The Librarians
When I first found out Rebecca was the starring heroine in The Librarians, I became set to not like her character at all. To my surprise, I can pretty well forget who she is, and what she did to Stamos, but I'd still rather have somebody else in the role. Eliza rocks kickass women, and she can be just as stone serious as Rebecca. Plus, be considerably sexier while doing so. :-)

Debra Messing as Cassandra in The Librarians
Despite my history with Rebecca, the first actor/actress I would replace on The Librarians is the girl doing Cassandra. I know she's already generating a fanbase, but for some reason, she just leaves me flat. She needs more emotion, more belief, and it wouldn't hurt for her to have a few extra pounds as well.
