Sep. 13th, 2015 07:03 amThe operation went fine, although very little of her big toe was able to be saved. What I've been concerned about the most, however, is the actual recovery process. My Grandmother pretty much caused her own death because she wouldn't stay off her feet when she had a toeNAIL removed. But Drew's mostly listening and staying off her foot like she's supposed to be, so hopefully she'll be fine with time.
Dad is speaking and mostly coherent now. He keeps asking to come home. I wish I could let him -- we all most certainly want him home --, but they're able to help him far better than we can. He still can't even sit up without assistance, but he is getting stronger.
In the mean time, we've lost two of our youngest kittens and our baby Donnie, who took a nasty fall and couldn't recover.
