My love, Drew, and I have a bit of an odd schedule, working the graveyard shift. We also have to watch our meal intakes, especially myself, as foregoing an actual meal in the mornings was leaving me weak by the time we rise in the evenings. Thereby, I've started trying to cook us a brunch so we can eat a decent meal before retiring for the day.
My laptop is (sadly and again) in the shop, which rather limits me as 'Cal doubles as my cookbook.
Here's what I "slapped" together today:
( Crab and Cheese )
( Pear Pockets )
And a can of kidney beans with 2 1/2 Tablespoons brown sugar, 1/2 Tablespoon BBQ sauce, and 1 Tablespoon syrup to make up for the baked beans I really wanted but we don't currently have in our possession.

Two Nights Ago
Feb. 5th, 2013 11:32 amYeah, I know I'm late, but it happens.
Sunday's feast was: ( Shrimp and Coconut Milk Rice )
( Crab and Bacon Rolls )
( Oraberries )
( Cheesy Garlic Bread )
Leftover potato salad and baked beans rounded out our meal that night. We picked up a quickie at BK last night -- gotta love their dollar menu! It'll be leftovers for today, and I'm thinking maybe some Chinese pork for tomorrow. We'll see.
I also made the following pie last night, only without the pecans as my beloved Drew -- bless his heart! -- can no longer eat them: ( Caramel Pecan Pie )

Two nights ago: ( Aloha Crab ), ( Bean Cups ), and a simple double layer chocolate cake with cream cheese and fluffy, white frostings topped with ample, shredded coconut.
Last night: ( Lemon Honey Chicken and Stuffing ), ( Glazed Green Beans ), and ( White Chocolate Biscuits )
Tonight: Leftovers!
Sometimes, I think that's the best part about cooking homemade meals. You cook often enough, you get a night off! LOL :-)
